Install and pair

Downloading Bridge and connecting it to your account.

Downloading Bridge

There are two ways to reach the download:

  • Settings, tab General, section Desktop Bridge, then Download.
  • The Desktop Tool card on the Welcome screen.

Either opens Select Your Platform, described as choosing your operating system to download TraderReflex Bridge. Windows and macOS are offered, with the current version number shown. A Linux build appears when one is published.

Install it the normal way for your platform. On Windows there is an installer and a portable build; on macOS the application is signed and notarized.

Bridge checks for updates on launch. When one is available you see Update Available, and once downloaded Update Ready to Install with Restart and Install or Later. Updates matter here more than usual, because broker integrations change when brokers change their exports.

Pairing, the web side

Pairing links the desktop app to your account and gives it the credentials it needs to upload. It happens over a live connection, so both sides must be running.

In the web app, open Settings, General, Desktop Bridge. The Console App card contains a three step flow with a progress line reading Bridge setup progress and n of 3 complete.

StepControlWhat it does
1Copy IDCopies your communication ID to the clipboard. Paste it into Bridge
2ConnectConnects the browser to the communication hub
3PairGenerates a four digit code for Bridge

A connection chip shows Connected, Connecting, or Disconnected, with a refresh control. Below the steps, the card shows the communication hub URL, and notes that Bridge settings must use the same URL. There is also an Optional echo test, which sends a message to Bridge and waits for a reply, confirming that both sides are on the same channel before you try to pair.

Pressing Pair opens Pair Console App, which says to enter the code in your TraderReflex Console app and shows the four digits with a copy button. The code expires in two minutes. While waiting you can Cancel. When Bridge submits it you see Verifying pairing code, then either Pairing successful! with a note that the credentials have been sent, or Pairing failed with Retry.

Pairing, the Bridge side

On first launch Bridge shows a pairing screen titled Pair with TraderReflex, with its own three steps: Paste ID, Test, and Enter code.

  1. Paste the communication ID you copied from the web app into the field (Paste communication ID). Bridge connects automatically once a valid ID is pasted, showing Connecting to communication hub.
  2. Optionally run Echo test (web). Success reads that the web and Bridge share the same hub channel. This is the fastest way to prove the plumbing works before dealing with codes.
  3. Press Pair in the web app, then type or paste the four digits into the four boxes. While it checks you see Verifying code. A wrong code says Invalid pairing code. Please try again. and tells you to press Retry in the web app for a new one.

The header shows two status chips at all times: the hub connection (Connected or Disconnected) and the pairing state (Paired, Not paired, or Offline).

There is also Work offline without pairing. In offline mode Bridge runs its broker panels and lets you inspect data locally, but it cannot upload to your account. The header then shows Offline with Enable pairing when you are ready.
