Accountability reports

Scheduled reports that go out whether you feel like it or not.

Reports on a cycle

An accountability report is a report design sent to a partner on a schedule. You configure it in Strategy, under Accountability, on the partner: a Report cycle of Daily, Weekly, or Monthly, and a Report design from the layouts you saved in the Report builder.

Generated reports appear in the sharing lists labelled as accountability reports, and the recipient sees them in their inbox like any other share, opening in the review board with the report tab.

The reason to use a cycle rather than sending manually is simple and slightly unflattering. The decision to send is the point where accountability fails. Nobody voluntarily sends a report on the day it would be most useful. A schedule you set while calm sends the bad week automatically, and the bad week is the entire reason the arrangement exists.

Two practical suggestions. Build the report for the person receiving it, leading with process and discipline rather than the equity curve. And tell them what you want from them, since a partner who receives reports and does not know they are supposed to ask questions will simply read and say nothing.
