Identity and experience

Properties holds the strategy's identity and its display preferences.

  • Name. What this plan is called. Use something specific, since it appears in reports and shared material.
  • Description. A few sentences describing the approach. The assistant reads this, so vague text produces vague advice.
  • Experience level. Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced. This is self-reported and it changes which presets and process templates are suggested to you. It does not restrict anything.

Be accurate rather than flattering here. Claiming Advanced to unlock more complicated suggestions is a way to build a plan you will not follow.

R-centric display

R-centric display shows results as multiples of your risk unit instead of currency. A trade is then plus 1.4R rather than plus 280 dollars.

Controls:

  • Enable R-centric display turns it on.
  • 1R definition chooses how the unit is calculated:
    • A fixed amount, where you enter **1R = ** a dollar figure.
    • Average loss, where the unit is derived from your own losing trades.
  • When you choose average loss, you also choose the window it is measured over: all trades, or the last N days, weeks, months, trades, or losing trades.

Why bother: dollar amounts move as your account and size change, which makes comparisons across months dishonest. R normalizes that, so a good month at small size and a good month at larger size look comparable.

Use the fixed definition when your risk per trade is genuinely constant. Use average loss when it is not, and accept that the unit will drift as your behavior changes.

Checklist categories

Rules that appear in the Rigor checklist are grouped into categories, shown as tabs above the checklist grid. The built-in categories are Preparation, Execution, During, and Post.

You can define your own set instead, with your own names and order. Do this when the default four do not match how your session is actually shaped, for example if you want a separate group for pre-market scanning or for risk sizing.

Each category has a name and an order. Rules are assigned to a category on the Settings tab of the rule editor. Categories are only a grouping: they do not change how a rule is scored.
